Ranma May2024 Poll

Here is the Ranma fanfic poll for May.  As I warned I would, Heroes is here this month.  Next month, it will be either back in Patron Only, or over in HP.  I… don’t think I want to put it up against FILFy for some reason…

Since Heroes was updated in March, that means that GDWHOM will be getting the QUARTER (1/4) carry over effect.

Stallion of the Line – Ranma/One Piece crossover: Luffy releases the lightning, forcing Peter to break out his own secret.  Tsuru and the rest of the marines are stunned, letting Hancock get in a few good shots before she is nearly overcome by another vice admiral arriving to help.  Ace and Aokiji keep fighting, while in the prison, things go from bad to way worse and Ranma and Kizaru continue their duel.  Shiki the lion is nearly overcome by a mistake, while Doffy has a very bad day, and losses start to mount across the front for Whitebeard’s men thanks to Sengoku’s planning and the strange green goop.  Zoro and the rest of the crew face their most dangerous opponents yet, making them very happy that Jinbei decided as quickly did that his fellow fishman was not doing the species a favor by continuing to breathe. Kizaru and Luffy’s fight is interrupted by Akainu this time, which proves to be both a mistake, and lets Luffy escape to have a sudden reunion.  Having proven several times he was the GOAT already, Whitebeard continues to do so, even as both sides begin to realize there can be no winners if this battle continues, only corpses and very fat Sea Kings.  Peter however disagrees, and continues to force the issue, going after what he thinks is the softer of his four targets.  

Heroes of the High Seas – My Hero Academia/One Piece crossover: Time out at sea proves dangerous in various ways, as the Grand Line tries its best to kill them and living on a ship with so many good-looking women tries to kill Izuku and the boys in various ways. The first of which way proves to be sleeplessness as Momo and Izuku talk the night away right before the ship is attacked by water monkeys and then venomous flying fish.  Izuku’s dreams continue to be weird, while Mei and Melissa argue with the rest of the crew as to what is allowed or not both in terms of weapons and in terms of propulsion.  Regardless, the group arrive at an island, where they start to learn that the idea of law and order in this world varies wildly between one island and the next. When Iida and Kirishima trying to act as heroes gets them noticed while Izuku and Melissa’s comments get them a very odd meeting with a passing archeologist. Unfortunately, the pair then return to find the ship under attack by the rest of the pirates around the place, putting the group in a life or death struggle when their hardest hitter is still dealing with injuries from his last fight.  This calls for what heroes would call out of the box thinking…

Gods and Devils and Wild Horses, Oh My – Highschool DxD/Ranma crossover: Ranma faces off with a Ken from his past, intent on wrecking him as embarrassingly as possible.  Meanwhile, Saeko and Asia go for a swim in an effort to get to the bottom of the mystery of the strange gate that Saeko can see and Ranma can’t.  Elsewhere in the city, Rias and Rika’s investigations turn up some interesting things, making Rias aware of how strong the Shinto religion is, if in very odd ways, specifically to do with the local priesthoods.  This leads her to the surprising conclusion that the Astaroth clan has some holdings in the area, a line of inquiry that ends at around the same time Copycat’s nine lives run out. Unfortunately, Saeko finds herself alone facing off against a certain devil who really doesn’t understand when no means no, and has brought along what can only be called battle nuns to the party.  Saeko attempts to prove that one samurai trumps that, holding out hope for Ranma’s return, only to get Rika and Shizuka instead.  This leads to even more public trouble, with word getting back to Lord Beelzebub and Ranma finally arriving to make his displeasure plain.
