For this weeekend I’ll take a break to focus attention honoring the #blacklivesmatter and death of George Floyd. My work and what happened are unrelated, but it just feels disrespectful to keep activities like normal: to promote my work when we need to wholeheartedly focus on these injustice feels wrong. I want pay respect in any way I can and this is what feels right.
I’m sorry if this is inconveniencing to you, but we need to make a stand. Life continues and forgets, but we mustn’t, no matter how much we run away from political discourse, we must make a stance in moments like these.
I’ll finish the sketches for the suggestion box and post progress of commissions. On twitter I’ll be offering sketches for donation receipts to help charities and non profits dedicated to alleviate needs with protesting and bails.
