This was something for a project from the writers den, of course, really late... but let me tell you about it.

Our concept was connection, force bond, you’re not alone. As conversation went, we started thinking about Au’s and how they’re kind of like this alternate life, where they live different lives and we breathe context and new meaning to all the little details. We also toyed with the idea of kyber crystals and how they could be the bridge between those lives. They would be born and as they grew, develop this need to find their own crystal, which in turn, once found, would lead them to each other.

And now with the release of the behind the scenes context, to hear Adam talk about Ben solo, about his belonging and struggle... it felt like he gave even more meaning to this. We had our hearts broken by canon,... but they have many lives more to love each other and it’s up to us to create them.
