Purebloods also marry second, third, and fourth cousins a lot. Sirius's parents were more closely related than even most purebloods are okay with. The Gaunts being something of an exception. I suppose that makes sense for the archeology thing. I imagine that humanity having to hide from the Grimm moved to the most inaccessible areas on the planet, so most of the previous human settlements would be deep in Grimm territory. Since all humans used to have elemental magic, I imagine that their buildings were made from magically shaped wood, stone, and maybe metal. No need for cutting and assembly.

Hazel is indeed going to keep on being worried, while Guld may only care about the short term for a few days before reality reasserts itself. Purebloods marry first cousins. Harry isn't that, he's waaay removed from that. Not so much on an archeological site via the mine. Maybe in a mission with Arturia to cleanse some Grimm.

Very interesting chapter! I'm kind of curious how Guld will react. Hazel will probably be a bit worried about how things will end, but will accept their decision. Guld on the other hand; there's now a guy three-timing two of his daughters, even if it is his son. I find it a bit of amusing that Harry's mantra was "Don;t be a Pureblood" when thinking about his 'sisters', but even purebloods don't go that far. They usually marry cousins, which is what Harry is doing here according to the theories about Caliburn. It's just funny that he spent so long rejecting it, only to end up adopting pureblood practices anyway. Of course, he did this in canon as well by marrying a pureblood girl (Ginny) whom was almost certainly a second or third cousin of his. Here's a thought: The whole gimmick of Remnant is that it is based on a world that once held a much larger and more powerful magical civilization. Any chance that Harry's new mine might uncover an archeological site? I was just thinking that it might add some very interesting plot elements. Like what if it completely rewrites Remnant's current historical theories? Like how Jean-François Champollion's discoveries from translating hieroglyphics disproved biblical history.

I get it:-). My comment on the polycule thing wasn't really a criticism. Your choice makes perfect sense here. I genuinely don't get the incest kink people. And, even if I did understand it...it would outright violate the Patreon terms of service anyway. There's no possible justification for trying to get Tia and Arutria together. Though possibly Pyrrha and either or both of the others would be possible. Which would help, but not be a total resolution to the issue. No, the choice 100% makes sense. I'm just not looking forward to the drama involved. Which isn't helped by the fact I don't really care for Tia. I don't DISLIKE her, mind you. I just... don't really have a strong opinion on her in any direction. She's a lot better than the rest of her team (a LOT better). But she's still halfway to a non-entity. Which makes is extra annoying for her to essentially be the cause of the drama. If it were JUST Arturia and Pyrrha, after all, a polycule wouldn't have any real obstacle.

Yeah, I know. I normally prefer polycules myself, but this time around that isn't possible. Not only are harems not a thing (except maybe in Vacuo but eh, a desert kingdom with harems is so cliche) but Tia and Arturia are sisters. Real blood related sisters. Nope. I am hoping to push the main plot forward for like forty percent of the next two chapters, with the rest being romance (30) and canon plot/Grimm hunts (30). But drama alas will make up some of the romance. Pyrrha and Arturia will become friends, but all of them will have issues occasionally with sharing Harry.

Yay! You actually managed to cover quite a bit here. And all of it well! Sure, technically only like a week of time passed, but you cleared the decks of a lot of individual plots and setups that had previously slowed the pacing down a lot. Given how many of your stories are suffering from that at the moment, it's nice to see one hit a point it can hopefully accelerate a bit. I'm also pleased to see the romance start getting straightened out...even if I'm not really looking forward to the drama element this pairing has. I tend to prefer harem stories to be more polyculeish as a solution to that issue. Which is how you've solved it in every previous story of yours with a multi pairing...
