I can’t draw.  Covers both sides here.

Yeah, this story will return to the polls when I finish Making Waves and FILFy. Uncertain at this point which poll, Ranma/Patreon.

Holy shit. I've loved your writing for years, but the casual almost ironic way the Joker dies might be my favorite thing you've ever written. I know that up to now there's only one other chapter, but damn if I'm not looking forward to it. Thanks, as always!

Absolutely loved the chapter, and I think the ironic death of joker was Great and almost karmically just desserts lol. I also really enjoyed the addition of a magical component to Ranma, and I’m very much looking forward to how the story will evolve in the future. I know I’m going to absolutely love it.

this story seems to have alot of potential, i like it a lot so far. also the fact Ranma actually jumped in the spring of his own choice is one of the most interesting twists to the curse i have seen in Ranma Fiction in a long while. i gotta say i like the reasoning a lot. i do feel Ranma might fit best in a young Hero team like the teen titans or young justice etc since justice league seems a bit above his pay-grade still at this point, but its not impossible pure strength wise. he might work as a helper once in a while for Justice league. i dont know anything about shazam and i am not sure what you are going to use the power for if it just for a power buff, but i will say having Ranma struggle to even the playing-field is fine to me, having Ranma always be a lot stronger then whoever he is interacting with is not necessary in my opinion, and the whole Cassi vs Ranma rivalry was actually really fun to read. Ranma outright losing to her also seems to help him to grow mentally as well. keep up the good work.

Just finished and I'm liking where this is going, excellent job as always. I pulled down the word doc and ended up making some editing changes as I went, some times the things that the dragon naturally speaking does to it just bug me. If you want to see the changes, or drop it into WinMerge or something I can send it back. If not, no big. This has been my second choice story on a number of polls, so I'm glad it got updated.

Lots of fun this chapter. I admit you were right to friend zone Lara, although why even have her in this if you were gonna do that? I am kind of invested in Superman/Wonder Woman now. In some versions of the DC multiverse, they have had a kid before as well, who inherited both of their powers. That would be very interesting. Speaking or Kara's differing cultural values, I have always thought that Kal and Kara's parents may have wanted them to end up together. I know that's kind of icky because of the whole inbreeding thing for humans, but remember that Kryptonians are different in a number of ways. First, they are actually cousins, which was acceptable even for humans for most of our history. Second, genetic disease caused by inbreeding only works if there are bad genes to inherit in the first place. Kryptonians were practicing eugenics and artificial reproduction for centuries before Kal and Kara were even born. It is heavily implied that this included genetic manipulation to enhance the children for specific roles in society. It is likely that any form of genetic disease would have been removed by this point. Now, I'm not arguing that they should end up together. I much prefer Kal/Diana and Ranma/Kara; it's just an interesting thought. On the matter of moral codes, I have to conclude that killing supervillains does become necessary at some point. Basically all of them have proven that they cannot be contained, and will kill again when they escape. The Joker isn't even really a mob-boss or serial killer at this point; he's a terrorist and mass-murderer. Batman keeps locking him up, and letting him live. How many times does the Joker need to break out before this becomes enabling, seriously? I'm all for Ranma killing Black Adam when the time comes for example, or Lex Luthor, or any number of others, so long as it is in defence of himself or others. This story is coming together really well so far. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Honestly, he really wouldn’t… and yes, that would be funny.

Oh god. Kara and Cassie are going to be learning about how to act normally in Man's World from Ranma, aren't they? This is going to be amusing. He should take them to an all you can eat buffet. But Ranma should have worked a couple more jobs to make some cash. Or at least lay claim to some of that treasure in Shaazam's hideout by virtue of it being his ancestor's place, so by right, it's his inheritance. There was enough gold to go around to set him up financially for a while.

Don't know how you're planning on running with it but my first thought when reading Bruce's comment that The Batman would be considered Martial Artist Extreme by the Japanese was "Would he really?" and I'd really like to see Bruce's reaction to The Batman not being considered among the Marial Artist Extremes...

Yes it is, as stated in the first outline. ;)

Now, THIS is amazing! There wasn't a single part of this that wasn't most excellent. I admit, part of me would have liked Ranma to end up having a friends-with-benefits type of relationship with Lara while they were together. Less, surprisingly, because I'm a pervert (I am, of course, a pervert, it just wasn't the primary driving influence to the idea this time), and more because it would have served as a good learning experience for Ranma regarding at least the physical side of things. The only one in your planned relationship set (as I remember it and as much as you've revealed it) with any sort of actual experience is likely to be Starfire. And, depending on what background you go with for her, that experience might not be happy fluffy bunnies and rainbows. Having Ranma have at least some idea what he was doing (and possibly someone to go to for advice/female perspective on the relationship side of things) would have been nice. Still, I absolutely agree they'd be something of a mismatch in any capacity greater than that. And their interaction was extremely well done and highly entertaining! Likewise, I'm a big fan of Joker dying in any capacity, and the irony of this one was particularly well chosen. Two points I'd like to pointedly point out. They aren't actual problems, though. More food for thought for the first and a minor quibble for the second. The first is Kara. I'm VERY glad you actually put the thought into her background and pointed out the issue with putting her into any sort of regular school system. The fact that she has a full (or near full) Kryptonian education is overlooked far too often, even by her official writers. However, a caveat to this that you didn't touch on (yet), is that...Kara is Culturally a Kryptonian. Despite his physical race, Superman is culturally human. Conservative mid-western human, at that. Kara...isn't. She has the full culturally Kryptonian package, including their version of 'common sense' and societal morals. There might be rather a large number of ways in which that culture doesn't match up to Earth's. She's potentially as prone to culture shock/misunderstandings among humans as Starfire was/is. Since we don't know that much about Kryptionian culture, how (or even if) that pops up is basically an open literary device to use if you want to. The second, minor quibble, is Cassie referring to Dianna as 'Master.' She does so at least twice. And it makes considerably less than zero sense, given the all-female largely anti-male Amazon culture. Doubly so with the Amazon's past. At the very least I'd expect them to use 'Mistress' instead. And possible even a specific title or honorific instead. A very very minor quibble, but something that stood out to me when I noticed it.

Killing the joker I don't really care that much about, sure people do like him and even I like some of the comics focused on him, but well I don't think he is a great fit for this story that doesn't seem too series. I also think him being Ranma's first, possibly second, kill is a good choice as it leads to the misconception that Batman has that Ranma doesn't care about or regret killing, which I can't see as true I just don't think Ranma is all that broken up about a mass murdering psychopath dying, even if it were to his hand.

Megaslayer321a

This is just a fun series. I’m glad the creative juices never seem to stop flowing. I don’t know what I’d do without my good Ranma fic for the month. It’s becoming a bit of a lost art.
