Two points: one, they would need to come to blows for this to matter, and Shanks doesn't want to be Pirate King. Two: I don't think Shanks knew about the real nature of the power - or else he would have eaten it right away. I think that it will eventually come out, but it will take a while.

With the new revelations about the fruit that shanks now has, how do you plan to go forward without luffy being overshadowed by a reality warping shanks? 6 months ago, Enel's fruit was widely considered the best, but now it doesn't stand a chance.
