Death's Avenger Chapter 2 Episode 1

Sorry I am posting this later than I hoped. Not

There you go. Sorry, I forgot to add them in for this chapter.

Is there anyway you can add download links for this chapter?

Corey McWhirter

Thank you very much for another enjoyable and highly entertaining chapter

Yes, I will have to create original characters. Tauren, Trolls, maybe even Night Elves, althoug those would not be as numerous, since there are many Night Elves already around from the canon. High Elves... maybe. We will see on that score. A few dragons, specifically red and green flight is also possible. Blue flight... I don't know about just yet. From what I have seen and what I have read, the leader of Blue Flight is either crazy with paranoia, or just plain crazy, so we will see. The one thing however that I will not do is use OCs as permanent romantic interests. That would be silly in the extreme. I can use them as random lemon-scented encounters, friends, teachers, etc, but not permanent romantic targets.

I would not want things to be easy, if I wanted an overpowered Harry I would find a story that featured that. I love your stories because we can see how Harry as a character develops and how his experiences in his past life flavour his interactions. As when I think of what he experienced on Earth I find that even though he has not been jaded and is actually coming off as being very trusting of those he has never meet before. I think it would be interesting to see a romantic relationship forming between Harry and Tyrande but it is something that I want to see develop naturally and if there is that connection between them. But I am not worried about them not having a deep and meaningful relationship as with this year of travel together and Harry traveling between sections regularly he will at least foster a friendship and we will see if something more develops. Now with how expansive this world is, will there be many original characters that you create for the express purpose of this story?

That - the Skyrim thing and it isn't alone - was actually what I thought of as I wrote out that scene. I know it is wrong, but I wanted something to show how inhuman Tyrande's muscles are. Makes the idea of her slicing through stone and ice with her double-bladed sword - whatever the name of that weapon is - more believable.

Ehh, I don't think so. I think the basilisk is just another ancient creature, it isn't inherently evil, so a need to kill isn't needed. I think cunning, cold-blooded calculation, and perhaps a need to dominate and prove your superiority might be connected to the basilisk. Perhaps a stoic view of pain and the passage of time? We will see.

Justin is correct. It's about 4,500 or so years before the Dark Portal opens. That means I have a lot of time to play around with, Harry gaining allies, finding himself, and getting stronger before the start of the First War, let alone the rest of canon. I won't make anything easy for him, I'll warn you. I want him to spend a year basically going between the Highmountain clan and the Kaldorei to get in touch with Nature Magic and his Chimera side. Romance is possible between them several thousand years down the line. It isn't going to be fast, and indeed, it will not be very easy if it happens at all, and Harry will face quite a few issues before that. But yeah, the wider range of beings is going to occur next chapter. At least for types of people I think. And a new travelling companion as Tyrande has to go back to work LOL.

According to the Timeline I'm aware of (whether Vimes moves stuff around or not, I'm not sure) this should be around 4000 years before the First War, which is essentially where the games began. So a lot of time to play around and affect meaningful change on the Warcraft world.

I thought it was a good chapter and I would have been fine with an even longer discussion chapter. I think these chapters are very important especially in the early chapters or when a new important character is added to the main party dynamic. One of the big take away from this chapter for me is seeing the friendship that has been built between Harry and Tyrande. Especially as it will give him access to dark elf cities and potential access to libraries and forges as well as more friendships. But depending on how the story is written and things progress it may also offer an avenue in which a romantic relationship could blossom between them. I am looking forward to the coming chapter so that Harry can see a wider range of beings that live on this new world and seeing how they all live. It will also be interesting to see what happens when Harry finally finds a way to further his meditation and connect with the different aspects of his chimera form and what that means for him on a go forward basis and I want to see how Tyranade helps him. Now I am not that knowledgeable about the World of Warcraft lore and timeline, but when in the timeline has Harry joined? I am asking as there are only a few key points that I actually know and I am wondering if he has been deposited far enough back that he could potentially prevent or alter some things from happening.

Really good chapter. Fantastic job building a friendship between the two of them. Looking forward to meeting the Highmountain Tauren and how Harry ends up approaching the Dream.

I actually like the time skips between the interactions and you instead highlighting the interactions that moved their friendship along. I also look forward to the next chapter and enjoyed the bits of interaction. I wonder however, how you are further going to bring the Phoenix patronus into the equation. Let alone the basilisk, say if he is feeling anger or an urge to kill and he cast it?

Often in fantasy worlds archers can hold the bow drawn for upwards of 15 to 20 minutes waiting for the perfect time to shoot. Hunters in the wild in real life, can also hold the bow but for maybe 5 to 6 minutes waiting for that perfect shot. When you are waiting you slip into a mindset where you start to ignore some of the signals from your body specifically your arm as the suspense builds up in you for the shot. this does not include the game of Skyrim where you could walk literally almost the entire game with the bow drawn

Zachrey Mueller

Great chapter but one thing that bothered me was the scene where Tyrande tensed the bow and then held it no archer would do that for more than 3-4 minutes max

Masmher

Loved the chapter, can't wait for more of tyrande's and harry's friendship/relationship to grow between them. Keep up the good work!

Zolkrath

Great chapter well done with the interaction between them

'As the giants began to turn their attention to Tyrande, Harry attacked from behind. “Reducto,” He murmured, the cutting spell, which he was now overpowering thanks to having run into the magical resistance of the Frostmaul giants before, lashed out into the mass of the Frostmaul giants. His spell cut into several giants, maiming several but killing none.' Reducto is a piercing/blasting spell. The books/movies flip-flop on this point a bit but it is never shown to be a cutting type spell. Diffindo and Sectumsempra are cutting types. The whole section would be fine if you remove the bit about cutting as Reducto is a spell taught to Hogwarts students, either 6th or 7th years, and therefore would be 'weak' enough for magically resistant creatures to tank through.

Looking forward to more.

This was a fun bit to read, I like the tone of this story, and the way you are moving things along. I look forward to the next update.
