I've been quiet for a while : no updates, no signs of "life".. The reason seems simple, but it caused me a ton of pain. Long story short, I didn’t have a backup build of the game - just the one I’ve been working on (yeap, I forgot to make backups, thought I wouldn’t need it… lol).
So, I accidentally deleted the wrong folder in the build’s directory, and it had two needed scripts in it.. been trying to rewrite everything to get things work back to normal.
As of today, I think I’ve fixed everything. Maybe.
To save time and reduce bug risks😊, I’ve added "cheats" to unlock all levels and select any dialogue (this is just for this version, might keep it in future builds, who knows(save conflicts)).
Honestly, in the end, there isn’t that much new stuff, lol. Anyway, here’s the changelog:
New levels for each biome
Tweaked character & enemy settings (script-side adjustments)
Added 3 new characters to the "Showcases"
Added 3 story missions
Implemented Cards (unlocked by completing levels & meeting certain conditions)
Fully scripted & implemented Quest Journal logic
Adjusted the global map
Updated the dialogue system’s visuals
Added cheats to unlock all levels
Added cheats to select any story dialogue (choice available in city)
That’s all I can remember for now. If I missed anything, I’ll add it later.
Oh, about the gallery changes (more intuitive art browsing)—I tried, but realized I’d have to rewrite the entire logic, so I’ll save that for the next update.
