The Creature Commandos (1980) part 1
Added 2023-09-18 20:59:01 +0000 UTCWe haven't talked comics in a while, so we decided to dig into the original run of DC's Creature Commandos, part of the Weird War Tales anthology series. Here we have a Frankenstein, a Dracula, and a Werewolf fighting Nazis with the assistance of their absolutely horrible commanding officer. They're eventually joined by a Medusa, and occasionally by a Robot.
We're going through DC's omnibus collection of Creature Commandos stories, and this week we're talking about stories from Weird War Tales 93, 97, 100, 102, 104, 105, 107, 108, 109, 110, and 111. We'll finish the omnibus in a couple weeks!

2023-09-19 21:45:22 +0000 UTCIt’s weird how a Medusa always ends up getting crammed into a group of monsters in media. This, Castlevania, several different animated features/shows. I wonder if it’s to try and cover the gill-man spot? Some kind of reptilianish monster to cover the fish man monster? I don’t know..
