Hello, Heroes!
We’re having an amazing time after our launch on Steam, and this week we had a lot to do!
Today we release a major patch on Steam, that fixes skin issues, revamps UI for skin selection, and fixes a few minor issues in renders.
We’re also working on a Mac version, and it’s almost done! We managed to build, playtest, and already sent it for approval. After it is approved, we’ll test it on Steam to ensure everything is in order, and then, you’ll have Mac Support on Forbidden Fantasy!
In other news, pre-production for our sequel is going great, and this week our team was focused on mainly two tasks: testing new technology and figuring out what story we want to tell.
On the tech side, we’re trying out a new hair system, that is particle based. This will increase overall hair quality, improve render times and make physically based animation easier! It’s still in its early stages, but, it seems very promising. Next week we’ll continue our tests in order to guarantee this is our best option before moving into production.
On the story side, we brainstormed A LOT of concepts for the sequel, and wrote a few outlines based on them. There are still a lot of things to discover, and this is a very invigorating part of the development process. It is what will guide us on the next few years, so we want to have the best starting point possible. Of all the possibilities, the ones that excite us the most are the ones that twist things a bit, things like “What if demons are not evil, they are misunderstood by the other kingdoms, and MC should fight for them?” and “What if MC is now challenged by a new hero of legend?”. Do these concepts leave an impression on you too? What do you think about them?
I’ll be back next week, with a poll of our favorite concepts, and I’d love to hear your thoughts about them. I believe that together we’ll find the best story possible, a story we’re passionate about telling, and you’re passionate about hearing!
