Forbidden Fantasy - Chapter 5: Fast progress and creating our trailer

Hello, Heroes!

We’re wrapping up another great week of work, and there’s a lot to share!

Our team is making great progress in Chapter 5, and, soon, we’ll be ready for our big release!

Here’s our progress so far:

Things are ramping up now, and it’s time to make sure everything is polished enough to go to Steam.

This week, we also started adding more skins into the game. Forbidden Fantasy will have two versions on Steam, a Standard Version and a Supporter Edition. On the Supporter Edition, players will be able to select skins for characters in a few scenes, so we’re adding skin support on chapters 1–3. This way, supporters will have access to these features pretty much as soon as the game starts!

Another exciting development this week was our Steam Trailer. We went through the Story and Animatic stages, and got A LOT of feedback from our team. Making a trailer is a very exciting challenge, as we have to balance exactly what to show. On one hand, we want to show new players the best animations and action scenes, on the other hand, we don’t want to spoil anything to new players. What do you think? Do you care about spoilers in trailers? What should we definitely include in our Steam Trailer? Let us know in the comments below!

In other news, we’re getting ready to release an Alpha for FreshWomen Season 2 Episode 3 Complete, and added a lot of features to Oppaiman Store! Read our full report here.

See you soon,

You can play Chapter 4 right now and it's very good.

Hello the Forbidden Fantasy team, in the post right before the Chapter 4 release you said few voices lines were missing and that you will patch it later. I postponed my chapter 4 playthrough, wanting to get the full experience. But there haven't been, or I missed it, any informations about that patch. Do you have any insight about it ?

No spoilers in trailers please. I think that you can tease a player, but leave the tease open ended. For example, you are going to kill a character. You show the character from behind and the player is shown a gunshot but isn't shown the impact on the character, and the scene shifts away to the next tease. I think that way the player is kept somewhat in the loop, but doesn't get told exactly what is going to happen. You have to be careful with trailers. That's my .02.
