Apologies and Changes

Hey everyone! I've got some news about the way I'm planning to handle my Patreon!

First, though, I'd like to offer an apology. I haven't been as on the ball on it as I should have, and there's been what feels like a drought of content. To be frank, between Patreon and commission work, I've been overburdening myself with work and Patreon just doesn't pull in the money to make it my primary focus. This doesn't mean I'm going to be dropping it, but it does mean that I want to make some changes moving forward that will hopefully alleviate some pressure and allow me to keep up a little better.

Princely Negotiations (and future comics):

Instead of my original intent to post 2 pages per month, I will be changing this to 1 page per month. This will hopefully give me more time to focus on the quality of the pages, without feeling like they need to be rushed. Because of this shift in scheduling, I'm also working to retool it from being a 35+ page project down to 20-25 pages, so that we can get into the action faster. Future comics will likely float around 10-15 pages per for the time being, and I may start taking small hiatuses on PN to work on smaller mini-comics. When I hit a point with Patreon where it can cover my monthly expenses, I'll be a lot more comfortable shifting back to a 2 pages per month model, and making longer form comics.

Request streams:

The changes here aren't quite so drastic, to be honest. I'll be doing 1 stream a month, during the final week of the month. Requests will still remain open for $10 and up members, with some small changes. There will be a hard cap at 5 slots, determined using first-come first-serve, with additional slots guaranteed for all $30 tier patrons. I will post up a sign-up sheet a week in advance that details this a bit further.

Platinum rewards:

In the long term, I hope to have no changes made to these, but because of the lack of request streams for the last couple of months, I can't base the illustration on a previous sketch. That means, until I've got a good pool of sketches built up for $30 tier patrons, they will either be able to A) pick a sketch from a previous batch to have finished, or B) make a brand new request.

Monthly Illustrations:

Currently, I have set to do 2 illustrations per month, plus the platinum illustration. Clearly, that's not been working out so hot, so I will be backing this down to 1 guaranteed illustration per month, with more as my time allows. I am also considering having pin-up/character pairing votes, but that is TBD. Because I want to branch out into animation, some illustrations may be replaced with animation work. I have yet to determine how these will factor into my existing model, but the plan currently is to treat it in stages; one animation will use potentially 2 months' worth of rewards, one for the sketch/rough and the second for a final colored version if I choose to take it that far.

Hopefully, with these changes, I'll be able to get caught up a bit and reduce my workload to a more manageable level. I also want to thank you all for your patience with me the last couple of months.
