Thanks for the background info! I appreciate it a lot :) The move has been great so far! Really enjoying the area and the different vibe that New Mexico has.

So glad to have you back! I hope that all things have gone well with the move and that you're settling in nicely. :) Frozen was Disney's golden child at the time this season happened (if it still isn't today), so we're working with different ground rules than we've had so far throughout this show: instead of putting the typical twists on classics we thought we knew, they were expected to stick very closely to the source material. The show picks up pretty soon after the end of the Frozen movie with absolutely no changes to the events/backstory of the movie, and many elements needed approval from the head of Disney themself to make sure they were absolutely perfect, such as the choice and mannerisms of actors to represent the Frozen characters (Elsa's actress talked about the lack of freedom in developing her character she had compared to the rest of the cast at a panel just a month or two ago). This is also the reason we're really only going to see Anna and Elsa in 1-2 outfits for the arc, since they're outfits that appeared in the movie... I hope you don't consider their clothing a spoiler, I just know that I've seen some other reactors be bothered by Elsa never changing out of her sparkly blue dress and thought having the explanation ahead of time might be nice. Where the writers were able to have creative freedom, though, was in coming up with the events that took place AFTER the Frozen movie. So even though everything they've mentioned about Anna and Elsa's background is canon to the movie so far, Anna's run-in with David and whatever the deal is with this ice cream lady are original to the show... plus anything else happening in Storybrooke and the Enchanted Forest in future episodes. All of this is to say, compared to other source material it miiiight be good to watch Frozen before reacting to too many episodes or at least to read the plot summary on the movie's Wikipedia page. But if you'd rather just take the show as it comes without any of the background "research", that's fine too! I'll at least confirm some of the details we saw: Kristoff is fully human but an orphan, so he ended up being raised by magical rock trolls who took him in as a kid. And the runes in the diary were basic Nordic runes because Frozen's setting of Arendelle is based on the Scandinavian region, most specifically Norway. Finally, that IS a pretty headband! Sparkly indeed! See you for the next one!
