Drawing the Other Eye Tutorial!

Another tutorial I put together! I got a lot of questions on how to draw the other eye in 3/4 view so I thought I'd share my thought process on it. In all honesty, it's mostly practice! The other eye doesn't have to be 100% anatomically perfect, as long as if it looks okay, and not distracting!

I posted all these images on my social media, but since you're my wonderful patrons, I thought I'd share some extra tips:

1. DUPLICATE STUFF WHEN YOU CAN. It saves so much time and energy!! You hear people say "that's so lazy!!!" but when you have to draw tons of comic pages of a character in 3/4 view, this saves so much time and energy.

2. When you divide the eyeballs into "quadrants" (like in panels 4 + 5), you can use that as a guide on where to place the pupil. If the character is looking up and to the side, put it in the top left quadrant, and so on and so forth. This helps you keep track of where each eye is looking so your character looks focused.

3. If you're worried about the duplicated linework looking too "correct", you can duplicate the sketch instead and do original linework for each eye individually. Sometimes, duplication can be very noticeable and sometimes distracting, so keep that in mind. I usually draw the basic eye in the linework, duplicate that, and then add details on tip of that so it's not so distracting.

Hope this helps! Thanks, as usual, for all your support. June patreon packages will be going out shortly once I get my stickers in the mail <3
