It's the last Friday Rambles of November, and it's on a Saturday, for once.

Not Game Dev Stuff

It was the Thanksgiving holiday this week. I just got home from being busy with people, places, and things. I'm full of turkey and cranberries. And I'm thankful for you, the patron of the arts.

There was a flurry of activity on the sticker shop, for Black Friday stuff. I spent the beginning half of the week on packing orders. There was also a new sticker I added because my stock arrived a little sooner than I expected. I was planning for it to be dropped next year.

Look at it stuck to my cool Hobonichi planner. Thanks, Tiger-chan. I'm so good at my job, baby.

I'll be closing the shop next week til the end of December, as is tradition. If you care, get your orders in soon! The Black Friday discount code is still effective til the end of tomorrow. EMBLACKFRIDAY25

On the merch front, there are things happening in the background. Next year is gonna be a good year in at least one way. Hopefully two ways. But maybe in more than that. Who knows. I'm writing lots of emails. Stay tuned...

Game Dev Stuff

It's Black Friday sales time! Of course, Endless Monday: Dreams and Deadlines is on sale. And of course, there's a sale post.

But this time, there's also a thing people who already have the game can do, which is "nominate" the game for a "Steam Award"!! There is no way it will be a finalist, but I like to ask people to do it because it still somehow makes it appear in certain parts of the Steam Store for people who don't have the game already. Also, it's community engagement, or something like that. It's for the "Labor of Love" award, which I figured is appropriate since this is the year the new OVERTIME chapter was released, which took a long time to make and was free. Now that's a Labor of Love!

Coinciding with my Black Friday sale, the cool people at INDIE Live Expo were like, "we're going to feature every game that's ever been selected for INDIE Live Expo" so I did that too (the game was selected in Winter 2023). In practice it just adds a cool banner to the store page, but doesn't it look more legit? Very cool. Very legit.

I always like being part of something.

Otherwise, whatever. The holiday took up half the week, and I spent my work hours with shop orders and writing emails. I can't believe game dev is a lot of stuff that's not directly the action of developing a game!

But I wrote a little bit of game dialogue too, and the story is taking shape, little by little.
