Good morning! I thought it might be interesting to show you what a week looks like as a "working actor" so I'm following THIS post with a bunch of audition tapes I did this week. I would say this is pretty standard for me AND I'm only sharing about half of what I actually taped for this week, which is CRAZY to me. I don't get paid for auditions, I only get paid for things I actually book. So this is hours and hours of unpaid work. As of now, I haven't booked OR been called back for any of these. It's incredibly humbling, very frustrating, exhausting, and even disheartening sometimes. It's very easy to get into the mentality of "I must suck if I didn't book 1 out of 20 jobs." I'm super grateful I have a steady salary hosting for Display right now. Most actors don't have that, which is why for YEARS I was bartending. Speaking of Display, my talk show is coming back tomorrow, so if you want to tune in, support, and get an answer to the trivia game that follows, it's going to be 7:30pmET every weeknight (trivia is at 8). Enjoy the bathroom photos. It's not my bathroom. I WISH. My apartment is a war zone right now... after a 2 month battle with my landlord, he's FINALLY painting it (I've lived here 9 years and it's never been painted, nor did he paint it when I moved in, so the paint is at least 10 years old). Anyway, the painters are plastering and sanding and priming and there is a thin layer of dust covering just about EVERYTHING, making my life very difficult right now, because I use my home to film content and well... live. Poor Sophia. Not only was she just shaved (her fur was matted), but now her home is pure chaos. Hopefully it will all be finished in a day or two.
