Welcome to the wonderful world of voiceover! I posted about this today to my Instagram Stories, and thought it'd be fun to dive in a little deeper on here.
This is the audition I recorded today. Originally, I recorded it yesterday, but then my agent called me this morning and said that the casting director needed everyone to do it faster (to fit within a 30 second spot) so I had to re-record this afternoon. FUN. I've attached a pdf so you can see the script and storyboard. I would say... this is NOT my best work? I was kind of in a rush. But decent enough. I record on a Rode NT1A microphone using a Scarlett 2i2 interface and edit in a free program called Audacity. Mostly, I just edit out breaths, pick the best takes of certain phrases, and piece them together.
I do mostly VO for commercials, but I've also done a few audiobooks. There's a reel on my website if you want to check it out! (sarahpribis.com)
