If you listen to my podcast, you'll know that my pod partner (Mike Janela) and I realized midway through our recording that we auditioned for the same job this past week. (Side note: if you don't listen to the podcast, you should! It's called "Living the Damn Dream" and it's about us flopping our way through the media industry -- he comes from a sports broadcasting background.) ANYWAY, we couldn't say what it was for on the podcast, but I can definitely share it with you: to be the warm up person for the studio audience of a talk show come September. Will studio audiences even exist? I have no idea. Which talk show? No idea. But.... here you get an idea of the silly slates and questions we have to answer, and then what the actual taped audition looks like. I did this from my apartment with my Spanish neighbors playing incredibly loud reggaeton and had to restart about 5 or 6 times midway through, so this little 5 min audition tape ACTUALLY took like 3 hours. NOT including the time it took me to write my script for it. Yup, just living the damn dream over here :)
