Regarding censorship and copyright on Patreon

There's some stuff that I wanna explain for all of ye here on Patreon about the content that may not be understandable from an outside perspective, especially ahead of the Chris Chan video releasing soon... 😳

On YouTube we have to censor A LOT, which is likely why ye pay for the content uncensored here! However, there's some content that we have to leave censored in the Patreon versions too, which majority of the time is explicit content/nudity that the lads may react to or stumble upon. The reason for this is simply uploading that content to Patreon or YouTube (Where the Patreon content is hosted) is against TOS, whereas slurs for example aren't in breach of any TOS so they can be left uncensored in Patreon videos but the YouTube version must have them censored to remain monetized.

If you've ever wondered why the YouTube videos have random swear words censored, text censored or parts of content blurred in areas where the reasoning isn't obvious it's usually because leaving those sections uncensored reduces our monetization chances. A cluster of swear words within a short time span, text such as "ass" or "sexual assault" and videos that include mild violence or injury such as a slap or a fall can be enough to cause a video to get limited ads or even demonetized. All of these censors are what will be available uncensored here on Patreon.

Regarding copyright, lots of content the lads react to includes copyrighted songs, occasionally a clip itself will have copyright too, such as TV show clips. I always attempt to replace music where possible if the clip can still translate when altered, sometimes I have to adjust the pitch of the clip instead if you need to hear what's being said in a clip and the voice can't be isolated from the background music. On Patreon, when possible, I will leave the copyrighted version of content in the video as it usually only affects monetization. Unfortunately, some copyrighted content also gets region blocked depending on what company makes the claim, in this case I have to leave the altered version in the Patreon cut too as it wouldn't be fair if a select few Patreon members were unable to access videos for this reason.

Alright that's me yapping done, I hope this cleared things up and answered any questions some of ye may have had regarding the Patreon videos! The Chris Chan react is releasing shortly and it has a handful of censored sections (ye wouldn't want to see them uncensored anyways, trust me...) and I wanted to explain the reason why ahead of it's release.

There's also an exclusive minute of content in the video that isn't in the YouTube version for ye to enjoy/vomit at, this is something that happens often where a clip has to be cut from the YouTube version but remains in the Patreon cut (for example, in the recent memes video we had to cut the heroin clip/convo on YouTube). When this happens it's usually happens after the Patreon version goes live so I can't mark it in the video like I have in the Chris Chan video today, when possible all exclusive sections will be marked moving forward!
