Using his wits, he easily convinced her... Through the pain they now have to get reunited with Mimi. Discord has his reasoning for not striking her... He wanted to use his words instead to show her he's nothing like what her husband was. After many blows, slashes and degrading words, he managed to get her convinced... It might as well had just been Lazure's "vent session" the way she attempted to break this man...
