Floaters - The Big Number 2

Well folks it's finally here! (sorry for the delay)

As you know we have changed the order around a bit and the drone episode is now number three (Floaters the Turd?) The are many reasons for us changing the order which involved a TV network, a youtube channel contract and the fact that we just wanted to see the back off this episode as it has been a bit of a slog technically! If you'd like to read a little more detail from both me and Joe about directing it you can take a look at this lovely write up over at directors notes

So some technical stuff! The film is almost all rendered in Eevee. The guard's room exists in 3D but the shots were 2D renders that I then painted over in procreate and then had to do screen replacements on in Davinci. So weirdly we had to make the film twice because we also had to animate the stuff we were putting on the screen.

The beginning and end of the film were obviously full 3D renders but all were done in Eevee to save us time. I find that Eevee works well for space scenes as there isn't a huge amount of light bouncing around.

The other crazy thing with this episode was the Zach Braff thing. It essentially happened because he saw the first one on Instagram and DM'ed me (nearly missed it as it went to my spam) He very kindly offered his voice if we ever did another one and we did a zoom session. We approached Joel Fry and he was also happy to help us out which was great! We did have to record the audio separately for schedule reasons but I don't think you can tell!

So yeah a big thanks to you guys for the support. Now, this is done and out the way, I can get back to posting more normal stuff up here! You will notice I have credited my patrons I know that's not much but you guys really have helped me make this so I want to thank you all!
