Opening Bust Redesigns                                                           

     After I toiled away with the redesigns, I wanted a consistent silhouette of busts from the characters for now until we get into some extreme story shit that breaks the silhouette based on the context of the scene, but as it stands, I'm gonna have a few basic poses that aren't to extreme so it doesn't feel visually abrupt for the setting.... Buuuut, I also want them to feel different from each pose, kinda like keeping a key frame animation consistent with its base pose but making  it visually interesting at the same time!

Opening CG

     Now onto the Opening CG Scene, the most important fucking part of our game... I feel immense pressure trying to make sure your first 5 minutes of the game are fun and interesting because it's so easy to just be like, BORING! NEXT!!!~

I dunno what it is, but I gotta redraw Zack's head in this, it looks like shit tbh

This is Zack's Old Design its not as good but his face is drawn better, I'm gonna have to try hard for this scene I need these to look really good.


this came out good gonna have to make a few tweaks here and there buts its good the 1st one with Zack's new redesign is my biggest concern for the opening.


Facial Emotes for Ashley                                                                               

the MOST important part of any visual novel is of course the emotions drawn for the characters, wouldn't it be funny if I told you this was never starts for Ashley till now, my dumb ass was just drawing multiple different poses for every emotion under the sun but that's retarded and gay and pretty much why my father beats me.

Anyways, now that Ashley's base head is done and I just have to slap this mother fucker on and body pose I make thats worth the development time it'll be easy to churn out poses and shit as well as make things feel more familiar and consistent with each new pose!



Post Opening                                                                                               

This mother fucker is the bain of my existence but also the most worthwhile thing once you start up the game. There is so much fucking and sloshing and                     [ c u m m i n g ] that it took me 2 months to finish. That's why I haven't shown much, cuz it'll fucking spoil all the effort before the demo is out, and I want that fresh for everybody. But I can show a snippet or 2 just no everything isn't final yet!




What State is the game in?

     So as of Right now we have been basically designing our own engine for this game within Unity basically while ping ponging around finished features that need art assets, all the excitement of being able to do these things makes me lose sight of where the focus should be which is laughably the fucking beginning, and that's what we've been doing for the past few months. Polishing up the very beginning of the game, from the Main Menu, Controls, Code Optimizations, Art Redesigns, Redoing the Opening Sequence, etc.... We are making sure these things you will experience once you start the game are at their absolute best and with the way things are going, there's a fat chance there will be a nice fat demo later this year, not dates yet, but soon! Below is a more in depth look at this reason if you want to get more of the specifics on why development took so long. This was copied from Reddit to save me time.

TLDR*;  programmer fast, art is slow, ideas get started due to programmer being  fast while features need art assets and I am 1 ARTIST, and needed more  time for preproduction such as finalized character designs and dialogue  FOR 5 DIFFERENT RELATIONSHIPS....I'm also terrible with posting on  social media since I just work on the game all the time....Demo should  be out later this year  ;)*

So  almost 2 years and no demo yet, why? BASICALLY it comes down to me the  artist, the programmer I work with is my close friend and he's really  fucking good, hes really good at his job, so much so he can program  complex systems way faster than I can animate titties and that's just  difference of profession ya know? He can program the Fibinaucci sequence  along with visual novel dialogue elements and animation emote systems  tied to dialogue, while I have to make sure the curve of the titties is  juuuuuust right for 1 animation.

So,  as I'm taking my time hes been done for like a few days an we start  talking about other ideas and features and it snowballs and ping pongs  me around all these things we wanna do and eventually I migrate to this  other feature we wanna do instead of working on the opening or what we  should be developing first, mind you no effort has gone to waste nor did  he stop programming an unfinished feature, quite the opposite, it was  done an polished and just needed my art assets. But certain features  wont even be in the players hands till their 1st or 2nd hour possibly.  If you are interested, you can crawl around the Patreon posts, I've  written how quickly we were able to implement basic stuff like walking  and dialogue, it happened so quickly I didn't even have the character  designs down and polished yet, but the momentum kept me going and as the  game progressed I grew as an artist and realized these character  designs suck my dick and I had to reinvent them...Several TIMES. It  wasn't in development hell my friend it was in pre production hell. I  had to redraw the Busts, the frame by frame in game animations, the sex  animations, the intro animations soooooo many times cuz the shit i was  making wasnt up to my standards anymore.

We  know what the game is, how we want it to play, whats in it. But I had  to really make these characters pop and really think about their  dialogue style and who they are since I'm also writing for 5 different  archetypes the player can choose from. I've played alot of hentai games  like, a sickening amount for development and just to jerk off to like  any other playa on this sub-reddit. Alot of them are just flat out bad  and I lose interest. I do not want this for this game I want the players  to be engaged from the dialogue and setting from the start and also be  able to jerk off once they start it up.

As for the reason of gaps between posts, I'm always working on the  game its just I suck at at posting on social media cuz the time I can use making sure I make high quality gifs, I can tackle my tasks. Plus,  my roommates are getting fed up with how great the games turning out but how little I'm posting about it online with little attention.

this obviously needs to change because I want to be a trustworthy hard working developer to the general public so they can support a product I know they'll love and I enjoy making and honestly so this game can actually be popular with a nice following so I can make expansion packs for it if its in the cards.
