Thank you for answering my Shakespeare question! I've seen some questionable Shakespeare in my time, but the weirdest single moment was probably when I attended Verdi's MacBeth opera... it was a very straight-edge piece, stark sets, Medieval costumes, quite regular in most ways, until the prophecy scene, whereupon rows upon rows of dancers come out, each one wearing a huge papier-mache king's head, reminiscient of the Burger King. But you can still see these skinny little dancer legs poking out. To this day the bizarreness lives in my memory.
