Don't Cross the Stream: Video Game Movies

With the recent release of the Detective Pikachu movie trailer, I have realized that video game movies have come a long way since the days of yore. Back in the 90s, quite a few video game movies were made, but they were....not good. In this episode, we discuss everything from what Pokemon would do to various RPG settings to Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.

I will admit it I miss the Palladium Poisoning and WoD the Heck. I think with the right work they both could have been plenty of fun. But i also understand deeply there flaws and issues. And after 1 year of this series this was an excellent change and lots of fun

That sounds familiar. But Street Fighter deserves this level of commentary, because man, is it a hot mess.

Also, wasn't there another After Hours or Mixed Six episode about making a game about making the Street Fighter movie? I seem to recall Caleb talking about dealing with monsoons & Jean-Claude Van Damme not coming out of his trailer...

There was also Cute & Fuzzy Cockfighting Seizure Monsters from around the same time. That isn't* available to find online, though I think the FLGS downtown still has a copy. *the reason why is a whole drama in itself

There is a game called Pokethulhu from 2000 combining the two settings... I think it is available to find online.
