Don't Cross the Stream: Gantz: O

Gantz is a hyper violent sci-fi battle royale series popular in Japan. It started as a manga, became an anime, then two live action movies, and now a CGI movie. Gantz: O adapts a story arc deep in the story, appearing over halfway through the main plot. Bridget, Fae, Thad, Richard, and I discuss what we thought of the movie and how it could be turned into a game.

Oh crap, Thad lives in Florida? Yeah, the state sucks, but at least we don't have to worry about snow flurries. For now. At any rate, Gantz is way too violent for me, I've been getting my anime fix from Persona 5. I'd really like to hear your guys' take on Madoka Magica (the movies are on Netflix), less violent than Gantz but no less of a mindfuck

The gobling game that Bridget mentioned in this episode: <a href="https://twitter.com/yagirlcaitie/status/969744781822906368?s=20" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://twitter.com/yagirlcaitie/status/969744781822906368?s=20</a>

I actually want those mechanics for melodrama fueled by trauma because I think they’d be perfect for games like The Orpheus Protocol podcast where life is pain. I genuinely believe it would improve the experience by tying that pain into character development.

The fighting between Thad and Bridget really made this episode for me.
