Palladium Poisoning: Episode 7 - Warlords of Russia

Looks like we've already covered Vampire Kingdoms in After Hours, so Faust picked Warlords of Russia to explore. What's in post-apocalyptic Russia? Medieval peasants and combat cyborgs. Oh and hordes of monsters. And as many Russian stereotypes you can shake a bear at.

I am aware, much like Ross with 40K I am the member of my group with a love for something, I.E. Warmachine, but not a one to play with or get a campaign going.

Well, this book predates the first Iron Kingdoms publication by three years...

In the real world there are also Eastern Catholics, which hold to traditional Eastern Orthodox traditions and practices of worship, but are in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. The historical reasons for this are...complicated.

Maybe the crops were magic cyber parts and laser guns, growing out of the soil? Yeah I need to stop trying to make rifts make sense...

It sounds like Khador from Iron Kingdoms/Warmachine to me. That is all I could think, just a shitty version of Khador over and over again

The Eastern Orthodox Church's offiicial name is the Orthodox Catholic Church. I'll bet that the Catholic Priest in the book is an Orthodox Catholic Priest and Siembieda just didn't realize that people would be confused by the name.

I don't think plows were the problem in this supply chain.

I just had a quick look at mystic russia, and there's a "mystic smith" OCC that can make indestructible plows. That's how a country of 30 million peasants (about the pop of Australia) can support a cool 0.5 million soldiers I guess?

Peter Robson

If I had to run RIFTS Warlords of Russia I'd go for a DCC style funnel adventure with everyone as the Peasant OCC.
