RPPR WoD The Heck? Gonzo Actual Play - Dirty Secrets of the Black Hand - Episode 2

In this episode, Shaun runs an old World of Darkness game, where we are all members of the true Black Hand and must go on a mission for the Shadow Crusade. So a were-dinosaur, a vampire time lord, a werewolf vampire, board a jet rented by a vampire wizard and head to the dread realm of VANCOUVER in a game of personal horror in a gothic punk setting.

Pictured above: Faust's reactions to rolling an attack with his character. Many dice were involved. Many.

Did episode 1 go away on purpose or on accident?

Isaac Comer-Wyrd

I decided to pledge because Caleb is everything I want to be as a GM. Then I listened to these and have two reasons. GLORIOUS!

Lucas

Just listened to it, yep those were Exalted levels of dice... I GMed a game that got to 46 dice for a thrown roll....

Doug Jacobson

But no seriously, how much do we need to pay to get caleb to play? He could be the straight-vamp/were-something to fausts OTT personal Gothic horror.

Moist Randy

We will definitely focus more on discussion for WoD The Heck. The APs will be quarterly or something like that.

Ross Payton

the games are fun, but I definitely prefer the talk radio stuff over the gameplay. there's been some amazing games on the site and all, but seeing a talk episode up gets an audible "ooh!" from me

Sandy G

I think we were all a little shell-shocked about how many dice Faust had to roll.

Ross Payton

I am disappoint. Even after mentioning near the beginning that Jack Carter had Potence, you never gave him the bonus damage! And to top it off, nobody caught the omission when going over his disciplines at the end. That's right, Jack Carter was even more ridiculously overpowered than he appeared in this episode.

Richard Pennertz

I'd enjoy seeing Aaron in a high level game of Mage.

Morris Worm

This was beautiful. Faust's personal conflict of rolling all 24 dice is true case study in the player character/player relationship that demands further qualitative analysis.

Christopher Reed

Everything is old world of darkness

Ross Payton

old world or new world hunter?

HOLY SHIT SCHNAPPI REFERENCE THREE MINUTES IN

Ethan Cordray

The personal gothic horror of the DM when Faust rolled 24 dice was so powerful.

Darth

the parenthetical title for this episode is (Increase the gonzo and spread more d10s around)

Beej

This was every bit as glorious as I hoped. On a related note, what's the standard procedure for making suggestions for future After Hours podcasts? Because all this WoD talk has got me interested in seeing what you guys make of Princess: the Hopeful the fan-made magical girl supplement for nWoD

TeapotsAkimbo

OP Mages please.

Aaron Shelton

So much gonzo, total fragile rock.

Eren Christenson

you had me at triple Nosferatu.

Goh313

I can't wait for the blood shart episode.

Aubrey Aisling Riot

I would love a gonzo game for each different type. I'd love to here werewolf next.

OliesWolf

So you want to someone to explain what a Kiasyd are. Here is my best explanation: They wake up from sleep then READ BOOKS for the next 300 years. It is actual said in the While Wolf rule book they are not a good PC character to play.

james burns

I would have paid all the money to here Caleb's commentary.

OliesWolf

Nothing says personal gothic-horror like were-dinosaurs. Thanks, Ross
