RPPR After Hours: Tempting Fate - The Immortal Storm and Failed Kickstarters

In this episode, we focus on a single D&D adventure called The Immortal Storm. This is a crazy fucking scenario, designed for godlike PCs. It involves messing with stars, traveling to a dimension of sheet music and 1986 Manhattan.

We also talk about screwed up and failed Kickstarters from Far West to the saga that is Ken Whitman.

Thanks again for supporting the RPPR Patreon!

I remember The Far West - I thought "that looks fun, I'll have to remember to buy a copy when it comes out" Well, still waiting, but I did get hold of the western/wuxia blend music they released for free on the website back when the kickstarter was new, so net gain at my end

I've only got the one, but a good on the run from Patreon alter ego: Buckshot Mulligan

The universal theory of Vin Diesel was probs my favourite bit...I mean, that and Calebs snark.

So Ross can be "Bargain Carcosa" on Kickstarter, all updates should be choices offering rewards for greater risk. Also to be fair to gaming, a lot of Kickstarters go really bad. I'm thinking of the lockpick debacle a while ago. A lot of them seem to be lotto winner types who don't know how to manage the sudden money.

Ngl I thought the text at the bottom said "HI DAD I'M MORTALS"

Bjarnason not Björnsson. The different being a "Son of little bear" as opposed to "Son of bear". On a site note, translating Scandinavian names into english allways makes them sound like they are native American names. :-)

Fridrik Bjarnason

Following the Whitman model, Ross should be "Pay Payton." Seems to fit.

Excellent listening! Quick correction: Credit where it's due, Fredrik Bjornsson is a different norseperson than I. We both share the 'bjorn' part in our name, though, so I can see how you got us confused.

Ross should be M. Frank Castiglione. Caleb is Dour Smilodon.

Jonnygadfly

Ross's Autor name is obviously Max Monstrum and Caleb's would be Mille Decipula (Google your latin for translations).

Fridrik Bjarnason

Clearly Caleb's author credit for Red Markets should be Victorino Furtive, while Ross should only use the name Mariano Dynamite.

Ah, Ken Whitman (or Whit Whitman now). . . what a glorious trainwreck. I ALMOST backed the KODT live-action series, but was uneasy about the pledge levels compared to the actual quality of product that would be delivered, based on his "Brothers Barbarian" show. Unfortunately, I DID back his Pencil Dice KS for 5 bux, mostly because the game line I work on (D6xD6) was supposed to get some cross-promotion through a stretch-goal pencil. $40k was made on this particular campaign, and not one dime was spent on pencils. So that's probably how he got his new truck. ;) Also, I've been told that he even stole the idea for the Pencil Dice, so it's not even a good to give him ideas, let alone money.

Christopher Reed

Haven't completely finished the episode yet but obviously Ross' on the run name should be Manning Payton while Caleb's would Bram Stokes.

Matt

Thanks, you crazy, crazy bunch of murder hobos!
