Oh! You'd like to have the freedom to write *all* of a club leader's dialogue? That would be a bit tricky, but still possible. I can consider it, although I'm not ready to promise it just yet.

miscellaneous text would be for club leaders like their welcome, goodbye, info for the club etc and changing the student council’s pushing, sending you to the council, stopping a fight etc but ty for responding

i have a question since custom mode getting more functionality was quite high on the poll; is there any chance we'll get these features added: using a hex code for hair and eyes (or textures but hex would probably be easier) putting rivals in clubs (you can already do this in the json files but it would be nice for it to be an actual option) giving students ayano's hairs & teachers' hairs and vice versa changing miscellaneous text (club leaders & student council) changing a rival's persona for future weeks changing a student's rep visual novels for befriend/betray changing routines for each week

Senpai turning blue (or any student turning blue) only happens if you've activated the "Low Detail Students" option. Go into the Settings menu and turn it off.

I’m sorry if I’m chatting too much but no matter how many times I redownload the game using different zip files, from Wordpress or from the website, senpai always turns into a blue default thing after any kinda reset/game over after day 1 Idk why or what to do

I feel like it's a very small quality-of-life improvement that wouldn't take a huge amount of time to program! however, if you believe that it's going to be unworthwhile time investment for such a small thing then i can understand that.

I feel like midori’s task would have something to do with mail, for old times sake. Like putting a note in someone’s locker or to a specefic teacher because she’s too “busy” since she’s airheaded, but I was also thinking what if either she or mai waifu’s task was to ask you to complete a level in a game for them (the one they already play) because per sé they’re behind on some schoolwork

Will there ever be better customization for senpai in ayanos version? Because if I change his hair color at all he just kinda looks weird in the crowd. Like basegame rainbow six guys while everyone else has updated hair and eyes :(

I would really love to comment on this suggestion, but I have to avoid discussing my plans for Kizana, since I wouldn't want to spoil the surprises I have planned. You had a very cool idea, though!

Sorry, I just looked into it further and turns out I mixed it up, Juliet does actually end up stabbing herself, Romeo is the one who poisons himself in the play 😅 embarrassing but I still feel that perhaps it could be a useful idea! I’m sorry for the confusion

Hi yandere dev! I recently thought up of a suggestion for Kizanas week but wasn’t sure where I could send it so I’m sorry if I’m misusing this in the wrong place.. but I was thinking…. Since there may be a play in her week, if it’s Romeo and Juliet, in the play she poisons herself, what if they use props during rehearsals and maybe right before the real performance Ayano swaps it for real poison? Originally I thought maybe it could be possibly with a prop knife and swap it for a real knife identical to the prop but some thinking made me realize if it’s to be accurate, Romeo stabs himself first and if Taro stabs himself then…that’s no good 😅 it could possibly also count as a framing method perhaps? It was just an idea but again I wasn’t sure where I could share so I apologize in advance for sending it here instead!

Over the course of the game's development, there have been a handful of occasions when I wanted to exit the game immediately after returning to the title screen, and felt kind of frustrated that I couldn't. However, it always felt like a very, very small, trivial issue. I didn't think it annoyed anyone to be worth addressing. But, if you think it's a big deal, I could look into it.

There *is* a "secondary" plot going on behind Ayano's plot. However, that plot does not advance between Weeks 2 and Weeks 89 It only advances prior to Week 2 and after Week 9.

dev, i have a question. why do we have to pick a gamemode in order to exit the game itself? there is no option to go back a step once in the "pick between 2020s and 1980s" screen. just thought it might be confusing/appear janky for new players...

oh.. it upset me, to be honest...It's just that for me, the most important thing in your game is the plot... I really like it...and I would be incredibly happy even with a very short story clip after each week. but at the same time, I understand that it will be difficult for you to implement

Oh...I hadn't been planning on it. I never imagined the game having "plot cutscenes" unrelated to Ayano/Senpai each time the week progresses. I imagined that as a one-time thing for Osana's week (and again prior to Megami's week).

Hi! I've just played on Amai's week! I liked it and I hope it will be better soon! Great work! But there was one thing that disappointed me.. It's absence of plot cutscene(like cutscene with headmaster after Osana's week) after Amai's week. Are you planing to implement that type of cutscene in the future?

I'll consider the Saikougram idea. I'm sorry, but I dislike the "disable her sense of smell" idea, since the elimination method involves Amai smelling the gas and then turning the gas knob which has been switched with the ignition knob.

Hey yandere dev, today very randomly I had some ideas about the game, for example the 202X week selection screen could be made up of circles similar to Instagram stories (I don't think it's even too complicated to make since you don't need any 3D assets) in such a way as to make the famous "saikougram" that is mentioned in Amai's Friday event appear somewhere else in the game, and in such a way as to make 202X mode different from 1980s mode. Another idea that came to mind (probably much more bizarre and that you will never take into consideration) concerns Amai's specific method, in fact to make it just one step more complicated and in some way more logical it would be nice if it were necessary ensure that Amai does not smell the gas to implement the elimination method, and to make this possible it would be necessary to ensure that her sense of smell is temporarily lost due to a cold that Ayano can induce on Wednesday by dousing her with water , but not allowing her to go and wash/dry herself as the showers would be temporarily out of service (perhaps to do this Ayano could tamper with the pump under the pool, or she could simply insert a sign similar to the one we can place in front of the pool in the week of Hosana). I know you will most likely never consider this sort of additional difficulty to the specific method, but I was still happy to share it!

Yes, I agree that Amai's week feels cheap. I think that the lack of voice acting is 50% of the reason for the "cheap" feeling. However, I agree that there are other ways that the week could improve, as well. (so many students sitting in chairs, the lack of events, etc). Before I implement Kizana, I'd like to gradually improve Amai's week until it reaches the level of Osana's week, but it will depend heavily on what volunteer assistance is available to me.

Hi Dev! I hope not to disturb you too much but I would like to make a comment on Amai's week, for a long time since 2017 when I started following the development I have always defined you with anyone I spoke to as one of the most skilled developers, with a game even if very different on many aspects on the level of the most famous games (minecraft, fortnite, undertale), but now by repeatedly playing Amai's week, I found everything a bit cheap, not so much because I don't like the events, on the contrary I consider them of difficulty and context suitable for the rival and per week, but I find many other elements really too simple or not very refined, such as the specific method which is as simple if not less than Osana's, or the fact that there are many points in Amai's routine where it is possible to kill her without witnesses. In my opinion it makes everything very cheap as well as the lack of animation and dubbing (which I won't dispute because I know they will arrive very soon) also the accommodation of the students which could for example be similar/equal to what Osana had in previous builds to the release of Amai to be more realistic, given that no matter how much you have provided an explanation it is strange to see all those chairs scattered everywhere, or it is strange to see how the sale of sweets has very few interactions, it is unrealistic that the sellers are there 4 /5 hours a day without moving, maybe they could go to the bathroom, they could go get some salt, some napkins, they could go and indulge in other sweets, etc. I hope that with this comment I haven't made you waste too much time, my goal is absolutely not to criticize you because I have great respect for you, but I hope that the second week, which is still a rough stone, will soon become a polished diamond, precisely because as previously said it doesn't reflect yandere sim as I've always considered it! Good job and good day!!

P.S. About the poll results - I was one of those who gave the videos and "Kuudere Simulator" type games the lowest priority. It wasn't because I thought you're not working hard enough on the game itself, but rather because I think it's not important enough that you should be forcing yourself to do it. If you gave us a choice of whether you should make videos or just take some time off to watch anime, I'd say go for whatever you feel like. If making videos is something that you enjoy then by all means do, but if the only reason you make them because you've been working on a game for so long that you need a change then don't be obligated to make videos or games or whatever, taking time off is ok too.

It's kind of difficult to quantify game development progress into percentage, but I can try. Yandere Simulator is 90% gameplay and 10% story. The gameplay is 95% done. 50% of the story is 1980s Mode, the other 50% is 202X Mode. 1980s Mode is 100% done and 202X Mode is 15% done. 95% of 90 is 85.5. 100% of 50 is 50, and 15% of 50 is 7.5. 85.5% + 5.0% + .75% is 91.25%. So, if I had to assign a "percent" to development progress, I would say that Yandere Simulator is 91.25% complete.

If I see things correctly, the game is probably at least 50% complete right now. Kizana may be "only" the 3rd rival but I think at least half of your work is complete - Osana took forever because you had to create the entire game environment and mechanics before you could even work on her. Amai took a while because too many things were coded specifically for Osana and had to be refactored. I know there's still a lot of work, like the befriend / betray CS of each rival, rival-specific elimination methods, whatever surprises you're planning for the 10th rival etc., but hopefully there should be a bit less work per rival now. I hope.
