TeknoParrot Updates!

We have seen 42 new updates to TeknoParrotCore recently, wow!

The list is quite formidable but I will try to explain it the best I can.

First of all, Tokyo Cop sound emulation is now working and included in latest TeknoParrotCore build, it will also work directly on Gaelco Championship Tuning Race once we have that properly working. Only thing that is missing from that game is loading the saved profile.

Gaelco Championship Tuning Race also saw some improvements such as (it is not yet playable): 

• Fix Issues with Pin
• Pin code work only if foreground window
• Add ability for user to decide pin numbers  on keyboard by choosing Virtual Key Code for each key in TPUI
• Implemented sound settings
• Added SetGaelcoGameId

Another Gaelco game that got some updates was Ring Riders, however this game still has huge graphical glitches but we are working on it.

• Updated Sound Offsets
• Added SetGaelcoGameId
• Added workaround for memory leak
• Implemented sound settings

Lindbergh Updates:

As you can see Outrun 2 had some new graphics things tested but was reverted as it caused some game breaking problems:

• Outrun 2: Add proper resolution patch, fixes sun issue, also makes FOV correct on ultrawide resolutions  
• Outrun 2: re-enable sunheight hack for nvidia
• Outrun 2: fix some float casts
• Outrun 2: Calculate sun position based on resolution, remove sunheight hack
• Outrun 2: Add option for Linear Filtering
• Outrun 2: remove resolution patch, re-enable old sun hack

Primeval Hunt had some improvements but is not yet playable at all:

• Primeval Hunt: hardcoded path fix (boots, but crashes at intro\when pressing start, also missing graphics)
• Primeval Hunt: fix windowed mode

After Burner Climax had some nice improvements:

• After Burner Climax: Add support for non "org" elf
• After Burner Climax: Fix windowed mode
• After Burner Climax: Fix missing attract movie (WIP, debug only)
• After Burner Climax: Fix Control Issue with Non "orig" elf
• After Burner Climax: Add Hide Cursor option

Let's Go Jungle Special also now has flickering finally fixed:

• Lets Go Jungle Special: add workaround for flickering

Also our Linux ELF Loader now auto-detects the game image size instead of using some hard coded value, this brings various improvements especially for developers.

The biggest improvements came with the Sega Ring Series, adding support to many titles and fixing many many issues.

• Guilty Gear XX: add support for another version
• Guilty Gear XX: fix windowed mode
• Guilty Gear XX: show cursor in windowed 
• KOIHIME: add support for another version
• KOIHIME: fix window title

• Guilty Gear Xrd REV2: add support for another version 
• Guilty Gear Xrd REV2: fix hang
• Caladrius AC: fix windowed mode
• ArcadeLove Pengo: Fix resolution not changing back when quitting fullscreen
• Phantom Breaker: attempt to fix input 
• Phantom Breaker: Add fullscreen hack (needs monitor with 1280x720 support)
• maimai GreeN: fix "MovieProc.exe" still running after quitting
• Blade Strangers: add support for another version 
• Blade Strangers: fix resolution in the new version
• Blade Strangers: fix double input
• Blade Strangers: properly fix input 
• Blade Strangers: Disable default keyboard Inputs
• Blade Strangers: Disable Default Keyboard Inputs on updates
• Blade Strangers: Disable Default Keyboard Inputs for Last Version

Also Initial D series got some love with various improvements such as:

• Initial D4,D4Jap,D5 fix issue where RealGearShift would crash game upon load and not work
• Initial D4,D4Jap & D5 (Again) fix Real Gear Shift to work for everyone (issue with AMDfix)
• Add check to avoid crash
• Modify to prevent possible crash
• Tweak RealGearShift since wasn't working for certain users. Thanks for testing SonicSP

Also Boomslangnz made keyboard support for analogs, so now you can play all those racing games by using keyboard :)

Other updates are:

• TeknoParrot: Remove VMProtect stuff from DEBUG builds
• Improve Hooking.Patterns stuff
• Tweak how Output Blaster loads if using Outputs with Mamehooker etc
• Mario Kart DX: fix amauth not quitting

We also saw our 500 patron goal filled but sadly it was right at the end of the month, it quickly dropped down after billing began. We hope to reach permanent 500 soon so we can start real action with Namco ES1.
