Arenus Character Spotlight: Geyna

Hey folks!

Today we're going to tell you a bit about Geyna: The third gladiator choice after Armida and Elona.

Geyna was born into the Vhanzorian Sultanate, a powerful militaristic group. As one of the Sultan’s youngest daughters, she was tutored in the ways of honor and courtly politics. Neither of these were particularly interesting to the young woman, or her sister Treyann. 

The two sisters traveled together to Vasdonas as part of a journey to the stars to expand their knowledge of other planets and cultures. Tragedy struck when the pair snuck off from their guards and encountered a group of notorious Karna mercenaries. Treyann was captured while Geyna managed to escape. 

Alone and lost on a hostile world, Geyna endured. The young woman persevered, gaining strength from her knowledge of her people’s heroes that she had learned as a child.   

As she survived, she picked up new skills and worked hard to master any that could make her a deadlier foe to any who saw her as an easy target. Even when she got the chance, Geyna chose not to return to her home and instead focused on finding her lost sister. 

The Karna mercenaries eluded Geyna, seemingly packing up shop and moving elsewhere once she felt capable of fighting against them. The young woman struggled and debated returning home, ashamed and without any knowledge of what happened to her sister.

Before she gave up on her quest, she learned that the Karna mercenaries had become involved with the Arena. Her hope renewed, Geyna immediately set off to find a Warden so that she could join the Arena and find the answers she craved.     

In Arenus’ combat, Geyna attacks her enemies with determination and ferocity. Having studied under pirates and mercenaries, Geyna employs a combat style combining the warrior ethos of her people with the savagery she has experienced on Vasdonas. 

Her weapon of choice is a lightblade, a powerful melee weapon capable of inflict powerful strikes upon her enemies. While Geyna has trained in the way of the sword, she knows that the knowledge of others can offer new ways to enhance her deadliness.
