Anna I was in the same camp as you and avoided them for awhile for similar reasons but the statements were made by the former CEO of Avex who is turd (so not anyone currently affiliated with them). I just got into them this past week and honestly they're a very talented group vocally and dance-wise w/great music and such sweet girls so I'd check out their other stuff as well :D

(if your open to that ofc) I just love watching idols dance. It's so amamaing to see 😭 | edit : this also had a Sanctuary ver. Over the Moon which was basically the English version. But it had rlly cool visuals imo
