Important notice related to Patreon

Dear patrons,

For a while now, Patreon has been forcing creators of 18+ rated content to submit their personal information like ID or driving license (to confirm the age, if the creator is over 18 years old too). Until now, I've been avoiding using that option, but a few days ago I received a deadline from Patreon, and if I don't agree to it, my account will get suspended by 18th January.

My thoughts on this?

Long story short, I don't feel comfortable having to upload all this sensitive information here. I also find it weird that, for example, itch.io never asked its users for such a thing, while providing a very similar service. So, lo and behold, it seems like if I want to avoid doing this, my only option here (beside leaving Patreon) is to delete any 18+ rated content and ask the staff to change my page's rating back to SFW.

Now, as some of you already might know, I was already planning on changing the overall structure of my Patreon page for a while now, especially since due to my limited time, I'm unable to provide any additional content apart from the game updates. I also want to merge the releases, so I won't have to prepare two different types of builds - Patreon and Public (which will save me a lot of time).

So, now, to sum it up, here's a list of chances that will slowly occur by the end of this year:

• To fulfill the requirement of SFW rating, I will delete illustrations that contain nudity.

While most of these bonus illustrations were either already integrated in the game or posted here and there, I'll make sure to re-post all them on my X (formally twitter), and in future on bsky as well (whenever I finally make an account there :-))

• The links to the Patreon version of the game won't be available anymore (since the game itself is also 18+ rated).

This shouldn't be much of an issue since the current Public version offers the same content, with the exception of the option to use CG gallery (which will be available for everyone in the next build).

• Starting January the page will play a role purely to support the creator.

The tiers will be left as is, but since I won't be able to upload the game here anymore, the only special thanks I will be offering for my patrons will be adding their names in credits.

I will continue to write development vlogs here, discuss the upcoming changes, ask patrons for their feedback, and I will occasionally draw something project-related, but all that will be available for everyone. As for billing the active patrons who would like to continue supporting me, I will be collecting donations once in a few (3-4) months (so whenever I prepare a new build).

So, yeah, there's a lot of changes coming to this page - all of this will be introduced shortly after X-mas, but before the New Year.

I know this is very sudden, but since I have only a few more weeks till the deadline of my account deactivation, I need to take actions right away, to ensure that Patreon will be able to change my classification before that date.
