what if nothing I do matters?

Some thoughts that I hope are helpful.

what if nothing I do matters?

I always appreciate your candour and your passion. You have a desire to make a positive impact in line with the values you believe are essential for others. 'Want' and 'Happiness' stuck out to me in your opening questions. It struck me that I am not sure pursuing your happiness or having desires, or even goals, for your life is always enough. Absolutely, the desire for expressive freedom, creativity, expressing yourself without self-censorship are wonderful things. But drive and desire are not enough for me. There are things, so much of life, that we cannot hope to change or influence. But we must try in our own way. Control can be an illusion. If we strive to control everything in our lives, we become controlled. It's a compulsion, for any people. There is some deeper shifts I feel so many would benefit from in letting go, finding peace, existing in stillness. Stillness is underrated. And not in a contrived, commercial, 'mindfulness' pocketbook kind of way. Control is rooted in fear and ego. A life lived in fear is a struggle... and a loss. Not just for yourself, but for the potential you have to influence and improve the lives of others, as well as your own. We can't exist without other people. Other people are surprising if they are given the tools and a hope of peering over the parapet. I believe in people. I don't reject them. I have hope and optimism that me being me and expressing what I believe in, passionate and sincerely, the stuff that I think is vital not just for me, but for the world entire, might rub off on to the world. Even it's just on a stranger on just one day. We all age. We all fade. We all die. What remains is what we left behind for the benefit of even just one person. Work through the struggle inside, and learning to let it go. What is left is clarity and an opening of consciousness. Therein lies our potential. That's what I believe anyway. I am still trialling how I do that, as fully as I can, without it always being a detriment to me - by what means or methods. Great things often don't come without personal cost. What if that cost can be spent for others and without personal gain? It feels too close to the consumer model for me to be self-serving. I am full of gratitude that I get to do all of that. And in some ways, it's thanks to your channel I have been able to sculpt and define those values that are vital for me.

That's sick. Some of the best things that you can make are the small, intimate things.

The Cinema Cartography

I’m still not sure it matters but I will say, I just had my second event creating my only small niche thing and it was a huge success a lot of familiar and unfamiliar came together with surrounded by art music and live performance & you guys and the work you do have been a huge inspiration to continue creating sincerely & with my own vision for things in mind. People have been resonating on various and different levels and it’s hard to establish something and cultivate a vision but things conversations like these are why I personally continue doing things the way I do
