Beautifully put. ‘today’s art world fears mystery because it fears meaning’, I find this also to be true in social connection. We fear the mystery inside ourselves and the other, afraid to surrender to the meaning of the communication exchange between one another. Separately, I find it sad that ‘critical thought’ has become reduced by diagnoses and self-identification. I believe that’s what many think it means. So much inward looking and ‘self-discovery’ but it’s not really INward as it is only skin-deep, a searching for a satisfying spot in the status quo.
