For the Q&A I've been working on stories and studying film but that's the extent of it, no real film making experience. Things I'm doing right now are just trying to get into circles. Just went to a film screening but got a bit nervous and only talked for a bit. Tips on making film friends? Other than that I think pa work would be a good place to start but I also heard sites aren't too good. What do you guys think, is pa work good for getting a start at filmmaking, where do you suggest I go to find some work. I heard casting and crew calls are done by ear. Also I wanted to adress some questions to lewis because I think (from what I remember from some podcasts) that you grew up without being surrounded by much art. When did you figure out you wanted pursue art, any important steps you take? Did you go to art school? What did your parents think(don't have to answer if too personal)? I've heard art school is useless but what are your thoughts(outside the actual contents taught)? I'm really set on making a film at some point, it's my dream but my program is completely unrelated to anything art, I fear the trajectory of my life will stray away from art and film.

Rattlehead

Love the brief mention of Von Trier. He’s my largest inspiration next to Tarkovsky
