It's no secret that YouTube blocked the "Taxi Driver Analysis" (Part I & II) from our channel a couple of years ago. By reuploading this video to our channel we could risk being demonetized or even have our channel completely removed due to strikes.

2023-10-24 15:11:41 +0000 UTCGreat analysis of a truly powerful film. I first saw it, aged 17, in one of the old movie palaces gone to seed in downtown L.A. It's realism was more than what I was used to. It was also some months after seeing one of my classmates blow off his hands with a homemade bomb (in a small town high school, no less), so the violence at the end was even more profound. The 2nd time I saw it was on a double-bill with MEAN STREETS at an art house in NYC. The older film struck me as a time capsule, whereas this one I feel transcends it's time. Now I want to watch it again.
