2022-07-25 15:15:39 +0000 UTCThat's a really impressive video, especially considering the amount of footage that needed to be sighted and edited and the extensive analysis of all these stories (games take up so much more time than movies). The list is very thorough as well. My favorite bit was the Nier: Automata deep dive. Definitely gave me some new perspectives and enhanced my view on this game. If you ever do something like this again I'd love to see some of the more recent indie games in there as well, such as Her Story, What Remains of Edith Finch, Oxenfree, SOMA and Detention. Or the more arthouse-y counterparts like North, NaissancE, or games by Tale of Tales and Inkle. Anyway, I really enjoyed the video, despite Youtube's somewhat erratic ad policies. edit: ... and Disco Elysium. Almost forgot one of my all-time favs.
