There is a Warhammer 40k book called The Infinite and the Divine where two near immortal robots with technology that is basically magic use it to fuck with each other for an entire book. One uses time travel to win a court case against the other. The other teleports into his rival's house and shoots him. When his rival, bleeding on the floor says, "I don't have the thing you want!" The shooter responds, "I don't care." and leaves.
