Growing up here, when it came to history surrounding the years surrounding WW1 and its aftermath, I really only ever learned about the Western Front, the Allied campaigns and, of course, the Royal Newfoundland Regiment. Hearing you mention the genocide in passing over 5 years since I stumbled upon the podcast, I never anticipated just how horrific it was and still can't understand how many countries still don't acknowledge it happened. And, to paraphrase something Nate said in episode 3: "Fuck to Turkey! Armenia champion!"
