2024-12-08 17:28:39 +0000 UTCthis episode suggests to me that one factor explaining why war leaders were so bad in the middle ages is that sometimes the stupid thing worked obviously a minor factor given all the problems of aristocracy but, y'know, why make an effort to land all your troops at once if stragglers help you win? sometimes charges end in your knights being churned into pink slime but sometimes you kill the enemy leader while he's hanging dong after a refreshing bath

Gotrek and Felix is fun, especially when they're fighting Skaven and the voice actor is doing rat voices. You should also check out Dark Harvest by Josh Renolds, which is like a hard-boiled detective novel with horror and ancient gods in an innsmouth kind of town.
