Stranded in the mountains of Afghanistan, 21 Sikh soldiers face off against thousands of Afghan tribesmen. Hamstrung by British military racism and some of the dumbest battle plans the brits could come up with, they fight till the last.

So.. Afghanistan is like a rust server but less toxic and everyone has the most elaborate item skins possible. Wait this connects to the victor bout episode where they were shooting at random people from a helicopter

You want a military druid. They can cast Entangle and fuck up infantry and cavalry formatons. Just place archers with them to arrow storm the immobilized enemy.

That’s one of the reasons why Indonesian is one of the simplest languages in the world. As someone who speaks a few other way more complicated languages, including Russian, I’m amazed at all the stuff you don’t do in it.
But that’s also on purpose, because as I understand it the idea is that you then supplement it with whatever your local language is, or at worst it’s that very simple lingua franca.

Dutch was actually pretty widely taught in Indonesia (especially in the early 20th century) but Bahasa Indonesia is literally one of the main ways Sukarno bound the 1000s of islands together. Notice how Suriname still speaks Dutch till this very day. But people from my grandma’s generation still learned Dutch in schools in Indonesia

The thing with Afghan soldiers putting stickers on their rifles was explained to me as “they can’t read any language, including the numbers on this, so this is how they do rifle inventory”.
Which raised the fun idea of the one honest Afghan armory soldier yelling about where the one with the Care Bears had gotten to and why Mahmoud didn’t have the one with the My Little Ponies on it any more.

Hindutva nationalists love using this battle as an example of Indian heroism against Muslim hordes, kind of ignoring that these soldiers were fighting for the British empire. Thanks (as someone of Afghan descent) for not ignoring that fact
