The Model Corner IK Rig Script v2.

*if you don't care about technical stuff, scroll all the way down for the download link.

Now introducing the new IK Rig Script for our models. Now available for all patrons to download.

Background

The new model rig structure has been thought from a long time. It was the result of many automatization experiments in Blender. Without so much trial and error, this idea never could have happened.

That same trial and error gave me the general idea of what should I look for and how for the new IK Rig Script, because, I thought, "While compatible with the current one, I can make a better Rig Script."

My main goal? Not only it was getting everything in convenient places for easy manipulation. It was also to keep the use of the Unknown Tab as much as possible.

There is nothing wrong with the Unknown Tab, however, the moment you use it, it clutters the Animation Set panel way too much in my opinion.

I wanted to reduce this. These are my results.

The Classic Features + extras.

The structure of the rig isn't changed, as I see it's very comfortable. There's the addition, however, of a couple of new sections: Toes and Arm Helpers. Keep in mind: a Twist is a bone that can be used to manipulate the section between, for example, the upperarm and the forearm. A Helper is a bone that can be used to manipulate the upperarm or the forearm. Their purposes are to make slight fixes.

New Feature: Fitting Flexes.

Instead of having a huge ever changing list of Fit Flexes, I've decided it's better to just have section that will have them as long as they have the proper name convention.

New Feature: Unique Flexes.

Normally for MMD and FACS models in aim, but with the idea of being used more often in the future, there is a new section called Unique Flexes. These unique flexes are flexes that only a model have and are not part of any set.

New Feature: Unique Bones.

The whole purpose of this Rig Script is in here. The Unknown Tab is where all the bones and flexes that are not defined in the Default Groups are. Now, with this section, you have access to every single unique bone a model have: face, outfits, anything.

Compatbility.

This script, as all our models, use Valve's Biped Simple model convention, so if a model works with Valve Biped Simple, you can try applying the Rig Script and see if it works! As a rule of thumb, if the model is based on Daz, the chances of working are very high!

Keep in mind, there might be compatibility issues or not all features will be avaible if used with other models, please test before you work!

I hope you guys enjoy working with this script and it makes your posing and animating easier!
