This showdown scene is a difficult one - no fists being thrown, but airing out the dirty laundry is like a gut punch anyway. Neither Iblin nor Adam got what they expected from decisions they've made, and wading through the mud of their disappointments in life felt necessary to them figuring out how to navigate being stuck in each other's orbit moving forward.
