Updates of the week: How to do this efficiently.

Hey everybody! It's friday! This doesn't means anything, but I'm happy as long as I can create a positive reaction on you using a nice Placebo Effect!

Anyway, I have some updates for you guys.

First update: Goal 1.

The first goal has been reached: 1 model monthly!

I want to share my thanks to all of you guys. Thank you very much for trusting in this project. This goal has been reached and a couple of questions have been raised, so I will clarify a couple of things.

First clarification: Payment.

Due to Patreon not giving right away the option of paying upfront, I feel the need of holding the model release until the payment by Patreon is done. All I ask you guys for is patience and comprehension. Please keep in mind this is in order to get more by investing less, this means, we all get a better deal if the Patreon goes monthly than going per release.

Does this mean this is going to remain inactive until Patreon sends the money?

No. All the activities regarding Patreon are going to continue normally. This means all the process of submissions, voting, building, showing wips and so on, are going to continue like normally. The only thing that will change is the model built is going to get released after Patreon sends the money.

 When you say 'release' you mean like a public release?

No. The benefits will still apply. You guys get the early access and the the public gets access one month after the original release.

Can't you just give us the model to whatever Patreon tier?

Please understand this is not about holding a model from release. This is not to motivate people to pledge for higher tiers. I believe it's for the best interest to generate a safe win-win situation instead of a risky win-lose situation if patrons take away their pledge after the release of a model.

Second clarification: The Mascot model.

I asked a friend opinion and he raised a legitimate concern that needs to be clarified. The main reason I proposed to build a mascot using either a High Elf or a Castnaic model, was because I didn't though we would reach the Goal 1, however the Goal 1 actually got reached. He then asked me:

So, is the Mascot Model the official Goal 1 Model?

No. Absolutely not. I've been saying this in the comments of the Patrons Only post and I will say it again: The Mascot model was just that, a mascot model. A model that will represent the model, like Zone's Zone-tan. She will be our Corner-Tan. Of course it won't get that name, but I think it gets the point across of what I mean.

So, after the Goal 1 has been reached, what is going to happen to that model?

What is going to happen? Well, it's going to happen. We will get a mascot. 

If so, then who is going to get that model?

I might give her away early to you guys and keep the public release for 2 weeks instead of the regular month, at least that was the idea I had in the beginning.

Second Update: The Mascot

I've read the comments and I'm glad to see you guys are also interested in a mascot, I really appreciate your participation! There are some interesting stuff to mention:

NukedSFM suggested Cindy Aurum from FFXV. Cafe-Anteiku also suggested Ryuko from KLK. Now, the reason of why we shouldn't pick an actual character as a mascot, is for the same deal Cafe-Anteiku mentioned later in that comment:  you may be targeted by the anime industry because they're really sensitive when it comes to their property nowadays... This also can be true on the videogame industry though.

Also, I'm against the idea of adopting an actual character as a mascot because it feels more like picking someone you like a lot instead of someone unique.

I'm also very interested for the logic Terraclese used, about an High Elf meaning purity in his mind. Like he said, "I think a good mascot would be something that was pure, but has since become depraved." That's a really nice idea, sounds almost like a hentai anime series, but I do like the idea.

Now, Rated L said something really interesting as well, a "modernized Castanic". Instead of armors, regular clothes. I also really like this idea.

Unfortunately for Terraclese, this is a democracy, I really liked the idea, but Castanic won the comment section.

Now that is clear the Castani model won, I have to show you guys the first polls of the Patreon. I don't know if Patreon send an email whenever I create a new post, but there's a chance they did. You will notice I did a quick poll post. It was just to see how many options can I use.

I can use up to 20 options, but I need something around 26 lol

Why so many?

Well, I found some Castanic models on MoogleOutfitters' profile (a personal favorite) and they were a lot. They all look different, so this will be a little interesting to see how evolves. Basically, I need this, just give you an idea how different they can be

•  2 polls for the face
•  2 polls for the hair
•  2 polls for the horns
•  2 polls for the outfits

2 polls doesn't mean is going into "semifinals" and then "grand finals" type of vote. It's just the poll 1 will be from options 1 to 20, and Poll 2 will be from 21 to whatever is needed.

So, since a lot of chores came up today, I will do the polls for you guys to vote. I don't know how I'm doing this efficiently, but I guess sometimes you just need to do it! Please vote!
