Drawing this made me cry, lollll I'm a sap ( ;﹏;)
A patron requested the "ash" prompt for inktober with a more serious/thoughtful tone, and this was the thing that stuck out to me (apologies if this wasn't at all what you were hoping for hhhhh)!
I think Al would make the conscious decision to let go of the fact that Ethan's lifespan is far shorter than his own, and understand that a life together that's well lived and well loved is worth the pain that comes with having to eventually say goodbye.
