100k subscribers, thank you!!

Hiya, Nos Hyena here! Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for helping me reach 100,000 subscribers on YouTube! My heartfelt thanks to all of you for being part of the journey. I truly could not have done it without y'all :)

To be quite honest, I didn't expect to get past 100k in July... my channel has been growing at a glacial pace recently, but thanks to a great reception with the last few viewers, growth suddenly accelerated! And then when I started streaming on Tuesday night with 99,720 subscribers, some magic happened!

Everyone who had the time stuck around and helped me get over the line! We had big names such as Pocari Roo and Night Mind help signal boost the stream, plus tons of y'all getting a friend or ten to subscribe. In total, we accumulated 300 new subscribers over 5 hours! So we hit the mark live on stream, and it was a huge shock, and such a memorable way to get there!

I don't think I've fully processed it yet, so I will have more thoughts on the big milestone in the coming days, but here's what I'll say right now:

1. Some of the toughest times for this YouTube channel are truly behind us. I want to thank everyone who's supported me at every point in the journey, and I really feel like the channel is thriving, despite a long stretch of not getting support from YouTube's algorithm, and periods of uncertainty/questioning. 100k is just this huge breath of fresh air and excitement, and I'm excited for the times ahead!

2. Y'all are truly the backbone of my channel! I have persisted through so much because of y'alls constant words of encouragement and good vibes. So this is truly something that everyone here can own. So yay, we did it!

3. I am planning to be more active on both YouTube and Patreon seeing I'm in a good routine/headspace currently! The hope is 2 short videos a week or 1 longer, plus extra scenes and sneak peeks on here! It's taken a while to find the sweet spot in terms of creating the content I find the most fun plus creating videos that allow my channel to grow.

4. I did say Discord for 100,000. I think I'm going to make it patron-only just to avoid it getting too out of control. Btw, if you are interested in being a moderator, please reply here or message me! I can't select everyone straight away but am looking for interested participants! (I may do $7 lifetime contributions through Patreon/Discord to get in. So if you've sent me $7 in total through here/streams, you can get in the server! That's 90% of y'all anyways and if it's a big issue you can message me :P)

5. I owe a lot of y'all a shot at an upcoming convention hehe. Or 5 in some cases haha.

6. Stream archives! Firstly, my 100k stream is below, plus others from the last month. Watch it interruption free below, I am keeping my 100k up on YouTube but I had to chop audio due to possible DMCA strikes. Plus you can see the chat on YouTube which is a plus. If you want to watch old streams click the "stream archives" tag! They will remain up as long as Google Drive allows it but I have copies!

7. Stream schedule! The rough schedule is Tuesday nights around 10pm EST, sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a little later. I only want to stream if I've been putting out content that week because unlike being a Twitch streamer, being on YouTube means YouTube videos. :P I will start to be more organized with streaming and will let y'all know on here. [If I change it up to an occasional Sunday etc. I will let everyone know too!]

8. Just on a very personal note, I am at probably one of my best points mental health wise in a long time. I had no idea how much slumps in YouTube/social media were affecting me unconsciously, and I just have a lot better a balance in my life right now. I'm taking more time off, and I'm getting more done. And I say this heaps but I can't be there without y'all. Going completely self-employed has its risks, but y'all have helped me out so much and I am not taking any of these opportunities for granted ^^

9. I plan to do YouTube for a while. In fact, I'm feeling as hype right now as I did starting my channel in 2017. I've always tried to follow the fun and be real, and as long as this streak keeps going, you'll be seeing a lot from this hyena! It's everyone's reward.
