Devlog for Upcoming Build!

Howdy, so there's a complicated situation that I'll need to talk about. It shouldn't be anything too bad, but it's important that you guys know exactly what is going on. I'm trying to keep things as open between us as possible.

There still isn't an exact decision on which build between Leigh and Lucas is going to come out, and will likely be decided in the upcoming week. This is because of the circumstances that Korichi, our CG artist, has ended up in. Basically, due to personal circumstances, he's forced to focus more on earning money, which means a lot of commissions and less time working on just this project. This doesn't necessarily mean that there is going to be no more CGs or anything; it'll just take a bit longer. This will lead to two different outcomes for the upcoming build(s). Either we're able to fund him enough and he's able to find time to finish the CGs for either Leigh or Lucas' route (since both need a CG), and if he can, we'll do whichever one is easier for him (Leigh is preferable but his CGs are more complex than the Lucas one). But if he's unable to make a CG for this upcoming build, I'll likely just work on the Leigh build and either just release it without CGs or just with the current work-in-progress. But we just thought you should know what's going on!

As a pleasant little bonus prize, Korichi, in his spare time, did a little doodle for one of his favorite scenes in Oscar's route, and when he gets home (he's currently out of town at megaplex), he'll be cleaning it up a bit and giving me proper resolution versions to add to the build. They won't be as polished as his usual CGs, but we thought it might be a nice addition to his route and will be present in the next update, even if he cannot make the CGs I was hoping for. You can see a cropped preview of one of them in the image on this post! There's another one as well that can be viewed, alongside the full version of this one, by Lucas tier patrons.

Take as long as you need

Carlos Albuquerque

No need to rush, take all the time you need. Art takes time, so does writing and if anything, making a visual novel takes time and effort. So take your time, we’d rather have a good story than a rushed one. Especially when it comes to art. If they’re putting all their work into it, it means they want to make it special. So keep on marinating, then we’ll have a good meal when it’s ready!
