Build 15 Patreon Build (Oscar)
Added 2022-11-30 20:58:40 +0000 UTCI guess we've gotten to the point where I have to say which character the build is for in the title again now that it isn't just a constant Lucas. This is our first Oscar build in a bit, so I hope you're excited for it.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping for direct plot progression, this isn't the build for that. In the 'Oscar timeline' this is directly after the long nightmare sequence, so this is supposed to be the wind-down period afterwards where we can give the readers a break from the action. There's some fun interactions and a little bit of insight into Selwyn and Oscar.
Next build will be Leigh which will finally continue the plot for his route and the build after that will do the same for Oscar. Plus, it will introduce more of the side characters for those routes.
Overall, I'm not the proudest of this route. I've always found Oscar the hardest to write funny enough and I think it shows the most here. I might be a little too hard on myself, but I do feel rusty on our favorite otter. So I ended up really stalling on the writing for this build, so it didn't end up writing as much as I would have liked. I want to get far ahead in Leigh and Oscar's route so I have a good backlog of writing.
Regardless, enjoy! I will say another warning is that there was intended to be a new Selwyn outfit for this build, but Shiuk ended up being busy, so we weren't able to get around to that yet, so there's a placeholder of Selwyn in his speedo at the moment. I hope you understand!

I can only speak for myself obviously, but I would so be keen to financially support a Selwyn route down the track- adoring your work so far, really impressed overall by the writing quality

2022-12-01 07:17:58 +0000 UTCI do believe if I were to add a fourth route later down the line, it would be a Selwyn route. Hell, I've been tossing around another story set at Everwinter following Selwyn's group of friends with Baxter as the main character.

2022-12-01 07:16:48 +0000 UTCKinda feel a bit sad that Selwyn likely won't be a potential romance option- he's just got such a fantastic personality which allows him to steal every scene he's involved in. I have to wonder whether the struggles with writing Oscar stem from having to write multiple characters at the same time? Selwyn and Oscar are two peas in a pod after all, and it would be nigh impossible to write one without considering the other. Perhaps it could be a polyamorous route as an option to the player? Of course I'm just spitballing here and would be happy with any content moving forward. Looking forward to the continuation of Leigh next week!
