This is literally my first fanart in months. I don't even remember the last thing I did that was fanart, I think it might have been the one art I did of Garnet some time ago.
Anyway, this turned out really nicely!
There are a lot of red tones being used here and the whole scene is being influenced by some level of red/purple/orange throughout. I think it generally works, but if your screen is even slightly set to saturate warm colours I can imagine it might be pretty blown out.
We spent a little longer than I normally would to finish a paint here, to try and nitpick some things and just push our values further. I fell back onto my love for strongly saturated colours here, so I'm just a little worried I might have overdone it. The paint itself is really nice though, and I'm happy with what I made.
Sakura is a character who's always been one of the fan favourites so I was meaning to draw her for some time. Expect more fan art on the horizon! PSD will be available soon.
